The latest FM channel hit the airwaves in Sri Lanka on 103.6FM today. The transmissions are carried out from the JAIC Hilton Towers and the station is owned by an Indian Company called United Telecom. The channel is headed by Mr. Rosmend Senarathne. The quality of the FM transmission is said to be of good quality. The name of the channel is not confirmed as yet and they hope to start a television service by the end of this year.

Is that means - After Airtel on March - MTNL will come to Sri Lanka also. Dialog be carefull.
Is there any connection with Amithab Bachchan And Comet cable. As the News I got several years ago. That he was the main guest in the opening ceramony of comet.

ReplyDeletewhy should Dialog be careful ? They already have over 4 million customers, AIRTEL will take years to even come close. Its operators like Hutch & Tigo that should worry.
Dialog is by far the best in Techonogly & value added services, the only thing lacking is their 3G compared to Mobitel's 3.5G.
Airtel will not another Dialog or Mobitel. It will be a cheap cost Indian sattelite base communication stratergy.They can collect cellular customers in easily by lowest cost & they will introduce incoming + outgoing Free ,monthly rental only packages.
