I don't believe that the frequencies that SHA FM got cannot cover a substantial area in the country. Ofcourse there are some areas where this frequency mixup is creating issues. But they have got some good frequencies cover 80% of the country.

ReplyDeletewhat ever the radion station started, the issue is the coverage. there are only four private radio station which we can listen from anywhere of the country. they are Sirasa, Hiru Shree & Neth. All other channel do not have adequate coverage. Sometimes the Siyatha is bit good than other channels but it also have problems.

ReplyDeletelooks like CSN transmitters are placed in ITN transmitting towers as they have some links in doing the channel. Therefore it may be very clear to most of the areas where transmitter are putup. We all know ITN is having the best coverage in Srilanka and it can be viewed from any part of the country. In future, CSN may telecast all the cricket matches palyed in overseas by Srilanka.

ReplyDeleteHow did they get approval for Piduruthalagala. Are they broadcasting from SLRC tower or from a new one. Because there are only two towers in Piduruthalagala. One is owned by Civil Aviation authority (Radar) & other one is SLRC tower.

ReplyDeleteSame thing i would like to know - how did they get approval for Piduruthalagala. Over the years many stations have tried to get approval to put up transmitters there, but they were denied due to security reasons i think. Even ITN does not have a tower there.
I don't know how did they got the approval for a transmission from piduruthalagala.But these frequencies were published on a newspaper advertisement by CSN.

Colombo CSN and Other CSN are broadcasting different programs. Colombo CSN is not working now.
