More on TRC frequency reallocation

According to information being received the frequency reallocation taking place on Nov 1st 2012 will stop disturbances occurring between radio stations. Stations that have more than five frequencies may get two frequencies & those that have less than five may get one frequency which will have islandwide coverage.

The gap between radio stations will be increase to 0.3 from the present 0.2

Please keep us updated on the new frequencies being allocated to the existing radio stations, please note that we will update the blog with the new frequencies as soon as we obtain confirmation.

FM frequency reallocation to take effect from Nov 1st 2012

A major reallocation of FM frequencies is to take place at the end of the month. The reallocation is expected to affect all the existing radio channels and will take effect from Nov 1st 2012. Some radio channels are already begun advertising their new frequencies whilst the some are yet to do so.

Please keep us updated on the list of frequencies that are to be reallocated. We hope that there are no coverage problems and interference of radio stations after the reallocation and that the transition will be smooth.
