TV 2 & Radio One launched

Sri Lanka's newest tv station called TV2 was launched today on UHF 53. Additionally English Language radio station Radio One was launched today. Both channels are part of People's Media network a subsidiary of East West Group. TV2 will be a music & lifestyle oriented channel. Both channels are analog & free to air.

    FM 100.7 is Asura FM - Colombo Frequency and owned by the TNL Radio Network (Pvt) Ltd.

  5. 100.7 asura fm looks like off air. There's only back 2 back songs and they said "Revolution is on".

  6. ASURA FM is gone I guess. They are testing a new radio station on the frequencies of 100.7(Colombo), 95.6and 87.6 using a new Music format, which someone may consider as "CRAP", the same stuff that you get to hear on that shitty channel called Y FM- the worst radio station in the country!!!

    This is bad news. Coz Asura FM has been serving the listeners with some really first class music for the past few years....

    And also, the thing that went on with Tharu FM back in the day is about to repeat. What's wrong with these people???

    Saw some posters around the place with 100.7FM on it...

  12. Neth Srilanka Is Coming Soon Live Telecast In SRILANKA . There Is Articel About Neth SRILANKA In Todays Lankadeepa (SUNDAY)SANDALLA .They Are Saying That currently they are telicasting this Channel for 152 countries and Coming soon live in srilanka.

  19. TV2, which is the newest entertainment channel of Sri Lanka has started their test transmission again from 22nd December 2008 with strengthened signals through UHF ch53. Currently they are showing a DVD of B&S and will launch their programme schedule soon.

  23. Radio One show is a Retro party which will be held on the 13th at Ceylon Continental Hotel's Hiest Bar,commencing at 09.00pm this friday. Hey i've not heard retro this best. Thanks Radio One

  24. DanTV Lanka is broadcasting on Ch53 instead of TV2 nowadays (17th September 2009) and also through another UHF frequency. Some days ago DanTv also visible on TV Lanka channel on UHF Ch-47.

    I don't know what is happening exactly.
