ETV a leading English language TV Channel in Sri Lanka is telecasting the latest season of the hit reality show American Idol with just a few hours delay.
This is the first time a local Tv channel has done this. Due to the tremendous success of the previous season which was telecast several months after the season finished in USA. Even after the viewers knew the results the show was very popular. It was more popular than the Super Star shows that are being carried out over the Maharaja Broadcasting Network since the super star show lacks originality since it is a carbon copy of the American Idol show. Superstar lacks TALENT, INTEREST & SENSE and is a waste of time and should be scrapped.
In addition the American Idol show is enjoying it's highest ratings even though it is running in its fifth season and had more viewers than the Grammy's.
