There are reports of a new Radio Station called Neth FM commencing broadcasts in Sri Lanka, initially they will start off a Sinhala Language Station and then later begin English & Tamil Stations. They have also acquired the license to broadcast a TV station and have become the first to be given a digital tv license. But Alas the duds are to begin broadcasts in an Analog format and then upgrade to digital. How foolish of them to begin in Analog & then move to Digital maybe they have enough money to throw around. They are hoping to begin TV transmissions by the end of this year or early next year. I would like to inform them to begin in digital straight away or begin with Digital & Analog and begin the new trend of Terrestial Digital broadcasts DVB-T. They will definitely be able to make a big impact in Sri Lanka. Well let those who have eyes read and understand. This makes the number of Tv stations to be opened in Sri Lanka to 2.
