The seventh season of hit reality show American Idol will be premiering on local free to air television channel ETV and over pay television channel Star World at 8pm tonight.
This is the fourth time that ETV will be carrying American Idol to the local viewers. American Idol is arguably the most popular reality show carried on free to air television among the English speaking public in Sri Lanka.
ETV and Star World will be carrying the broadcast at the same time commencing today and the only major difference is that Star World is expected to carry the season finale live whereas ETV carries the recorded version. However we believe that ETV should also take steps to telecast the finale live.
Star World is available on Dialog TV, Comet Cable, LBN and all pay television service providers available in Sri Lanka.

Hey guys can any one no the frequency of new tv channel that army is going to launch. I am receiving Two tv signals before Tv Lanka & After Channel one Mtv . Because i put a new tv antan I tuned my tv.

New Sinhala Radio Channel will be on their testing end of this month(January 2008)It will be transmiting on 103.6 FM in Colombo.Indian Company named United Telecom invested this FM Channel.Mr.Rosmend Senarathne(CEO) Mr.Sahan Ranwala/Mr.Chirantha Ranwala will be Programme Managers of This Channel.They will be going to start another TV Channel on end of this year.

Hey guys wat happen to the fm channel that on frequency 104.5 operate by singer srilanka. Are there going to start on this year. 1)According to TRC, V tv & Siyatha tv license has been expired and they cannot start a TV in immediately. Also both of them have not enough budgets to invest to a TV in this time.
2)Hela Urumaya owned Frequency FM 104.5 had tested as ‘Radio Eka’ and they sold it to Singer Sri Lanka. Now they reserved five FM Frequencies. But Singer not yet prepares to start Radio in immediately.
3)Powerhouse (Pvt.) Ltd, the holding company of Derana TV also allocate FM 94.5 Colombo & they reserved another 4 Frequencies for broadcast a new Radio Channel.
4)United Telecom Lanka(Pvt) Ltd will starting their Radio Testing on tomorrow 26th January 103.6 FM from JAIC Hilton towers, Colombo.

New Fm testtransmission now on air from Fm 103.6.The quality is very good.Any one tell e this is the Fm channel that satnet going to launch.
