CBNSat adds HBO, HBO Signature, Cinemax & Derana TV Commences Test Transmissions

In an eventful weekend in Sri Lankan Broadcasting Sri Lanka's pioneer DTH provider CBNSat has expanded it's network of channels and have added HBO, HBO Signature & Cinemax to their line up of channels.Good work Guys! Now it is upto them to give the viewers some much needed sports action by giving Ten Sports, ESPN & Star Sports. All is not well for CBNSat as there have been reports that several customers are dissatisfied over several interruptions in transmissions. They have also uplinked Raj Digital Plus and they are yet to uplink Raj TV only and it is now over 3 months since CBNsat was officially launched, I wonder why it is taking so long. Over to the management of CBNSat.

In other news Derana TV Sri Lanka's newest FTA(Free-To-Air) TV Station commenced test transmissions on UHF 37 on Oct 2nd 2005. They are broadcasting only to the Western Province. The official launch date is not yet known. I think that they are a full Sinhala TV Station and hope that our readers will tune in and help them assess their transmission quality. They also easily achieve Islandwide coverage if they join up with CBNSat. Over to the management of Derana TV.

Have a wonderful Blogging week
