Dialog Tv to launch in six months

The Financial Times reports that Dialog Tv will come into operational in another six months. They say that they will be launching Pay Tv operations and will promote channels such as AXN, Star World, Cinemax, etc.

There is no mention of the technology that they are planning to use, will it be DTH, etc no one knows yet. However we feel that it is just a matter of time before they reveal this information too. We have still not got confirmation whether they will buy an existing pay tv provider or set up their own one.

It is advantageous for them to buy a company such as CBNsat since they will get them along with the entire setup including the 20,000 customers.

Good Luck to Dialog in their endeavour.

What about Srilakvahini? Have they started transmission?

Can we use CBNSat Dish to get the signal from Yamal by turning it?

At present I heard Srilakvahini is using C Band .Therefore you cannot receive signals fro CBN Sat Dish as it can receive only Ku band. Srilakvahini says they are in dicussions to obtain Ku band even

Before turning to YAMAL you should visit their office,it resembles a shanty and even a house in a shanty is more orgernized. The person i met there was totaly drunk and a woman was sleeping in room seperated by partitioning. The uplink equipment is going to be fixed at the garbage dump and they seem to have the state patronage as the partions are filled with their directors with the President. They seem to have been illegaly giving Dish Tv connections @ 20000/- per coonection, rental 1400/- PM,and some instalation charge, susequently Hulugalla of SATnet has got to know about it and may have done the needful he is used too and now they are saying they do not issue pay TV connections.

you can call them on 4941735 for clarifications.
