The Daily News today reports that President Mahinda Rajapakse has directed the TRC to issue licenses for Cable Tv companies who have obtained Defense Ministry Approval.
The report also further states that this has been done due to numerous requests from the public. At the moment LBN got MoD approval whereas CBNsat has been unable to get MoD approval still.

The president of the country is micro managing and is being "strung around" like a puppet on a string even though he has the feeling of getting under the table kickbacks!
