"FA Cup" Live on Channel One MTV/Shakthi TV

Last weekend Sri Lankan viewers were able to catch the live broadcast of the FA Cup Semi Finals on Channel One MTV as well as on Shakthi TV.

The first Semi final on Saturday night was shown live via ESPN. The second Semi final shown on Sunday night was not a live broadcast but a delayed broadcast via Star Sports (The actual live telecast commenced at around 8:30pm on Star Sports but the broadcast over Channel One/Shakthi TV started after 9:30pm). Pay television subscribers in Sri Lanka were able to catch the matches live via ESPN and Star Sports. Even though the promotions suggested that the matches will be shown live, this was not the case with the second semi final.

The final will also be shown on Channel One MTV/Shakthi TV on May 19th at 3pm UK time and hopefully it is shown live and not as a delayed broadcast.

If they are showing it with proper rights, shouldn't they be getting it direct from the main FA Cup media group, like Channel Eye gets the world cup from ICC media group.

They are rebroadcasting Star Sports and ESPN. I smell something fishy going on there.

Another attempt by the so called BIG GUNS OF TV trying to mislead the public... Im sure they have swindled some way of re-broadcasting STAR & ESPN.

Its interesting to note that:
MTV & SIRASA are the only ones charging money for viewing their webcast. Rupavahini, MAX TV & Swaranavahini all give their webcast FREE !!!

I am not a fan of MTV or Sirasa,But they defeneitly have got the rights to telecast the FA cup and they are not mad when it come to the legal framework,Nothing to question there is nothing fishy about the FA broadcast of sirasa.

But there are more interesting things like Mobitel having a proven homosexual or ponnaya in their advertisments and you can imagine what their subscriber base is when you have sakkilayas like this in their advertisments, its a disgrace for mobitel itself.
