Defense Channel 'Rana Ru' now on air

The Defense channel 'Rana Ru' went on air yesterday coinciding with the 60 anniversary of Independence. This channel is presently using Dialog TV as its broadcasting platform. According to certain reports this channel is said to free to air but certain other reports suggests that only authorized viewers will be able to view this channel.

It is still not clear whether this channel will be available for terrestrial viewers.

I think the channel will only be available for members of the armed forces and their families, at least for the moment.

There is a possibility that this channel is working on the "CH 2" of the new transponder, because this channel has lower bitrates for video and audio according to SatCoDX. Other test channels have ridiculously high audio bitrates not seen even for HD Channels anywhere else.

See how Dialog stays on the good side of the government. But at least they are doing good things for everyone, instead of bribery and corruption.
